Modern Learning Environment
Galway Business School provides a range of modern facilities designed to support students throughout their studies and enhance the overall learning experience.
Our classrooms are bright, spacious, and contemporary, with large windows that allow plenty of natural light. Many also offer stunning views over Galway Bay, creating an inspiring environment for learning. Each classroom is equipped with interactive whiteboard technology, supporting dynamic and engaging delivery of course materials.
GBS is also committed to encouraging independent learning and academic development. Students who wish to engage in additional study have access to quiet study spaces throughout the day, providing a focused and comfortable environment for revision, coursework, and self-study.
Large Student Common Area
The Halla Mór is the central social and communal space at Galway Business School, designed to provide students with a welcoming environment to relax, connect, and spend time outside the classroom.
Bright, spacious, and comfortable, the Halla Mór sits at the heart of student life on campus. It offers a space where learners can meet, socialise, and build friendships in a relaxed and inclusive atmosphere.
Students often use the Halla Mór between classes to study informally, enjoy a break, or take part in school activities and events.
Moodle & GBS Student Portal
At Galway Business School, students are supported through two key digital platforms: Moodle and the GBS Student Portal, designed to enhance your learning experience and help you manage your studies with ease.
Moodle is GBS’s dedicated e-learning platform, providing everything you need to support your academic progress in one place. Moodle helps you stay connected to your studies both inside and outside the classroom.
The GBS Student Portal is your personal online hub for managing key aspects of your student life and course information.
Through the portal, you can:
- View your programme details and timetable
- Access your digital student ID card
- Update personal details (address, contact information, PPSN, IRP)
- Check your attendance record
- Access Moodle and learning resources easily
- Stay informed about social activities and school events
Free Wi-Fi
Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the school premises to support your learning and research needs. Please ask a member of GBS academic staff for the password to access the network.
Library
Our library is stocked with a wide selection of business textbooks, academic journals, and research materials relevant to your course.
- Students may borrow books for home use
- A valid GBS student card is required to take materials off-site
On-Campus Café
The Chef Laura Rosso Café & Restaurant is located on the ground floor of the school, offering a convenient on-site dining option.
You can enjoy:

- Coffee and freshly baked pastries
- Locally sourced ingredients where possible
Bicycles & Scooter Parking
If you are travelling by bike or scooter, secure parking facilities are available on campus.
We can also assist you with bicycle rental during your stay in Ireland—simply speak to the GBS academic team for support and advice.
Printing & IT Access
Students have access to free printing services within the school.
If you require a laptop during your studies, access can also be provided upon request, supporting your academic work and coursework needs.
