Bachelor of Business

GBS has provided me with the knowledge and the right tools to start my professional career. Before my graduation, I was confident enough in my skills to start applying for graduate programmes. I got called back to the Jameson Graduate Programme, and everything that they asked me in the first screening was something I was currently learning at GBS. Thanks to the lecturers who always encourage us to learn, to stay curious, to be confident in ourselves, and to always give our best. In addition, thank you to all the staff that always go above and beyond to help us in every way they can.

James Frost

Bachelor of Business (Honours) with International Business Level 8

“As part of my development assignment to Senior Equipment Engineer within Boston Scientific, the Bachelor of Business (Honours) with International Business course ticked all the boxes with respect to location, flexibility and suitability. Being more than a few years out of college I wasn’t sure what to expect but all concerns were quashed within the first few days of lectures. At the heart of GBS is an incredibly friendly and helpful support staff that put me at ease straight away. Alongside the support staff is a group of highly knowledgeable and engaging lecturers making the learning both challenging and fun. Small class sizes is a key differentiator for GBS which enabled me to ask questions, challenge opinions and take part in great class discussions. Make no mistake, you’ll work hard for your qualification in GBS but you will do so in the knowledge that they are right there alongside you to guide you all the way. Qualification aside, the key takeaways I took from my time with GBS was the potential to use the business learnings in my role as a Senior Engineer and most definitely a renewed confidence in my abilities. I thoroughly enjoyed the learning experience at GBS and would have no hesitation recommending GBS to anyone.

Tessa Lyons

Bachelor of Business (Hons) with International Business

I chose to study in the Galway Business School in 2016. I have since completed my level 7 and level 8 Bachelor of Business (Hons) with International Business degree. It is one of my biggest achievements and I couldn’t have done it without the support of the GBS team. Once you choose to study at GBS, you instantly become part of the family as you get that one to one support from the lectures as they give every student the ability to expand and build their confidence. You will accomplish thing you never thought would happen – for me, they helped me build my confidence to stand up in front of people and present a piece of work or even to hold your thesis in your hands – is an indescribable feeling of joy and pride in your work. Yes, it will be a challenge however, the day you graduate surrounded by life-time friends and family, will make you realise that you made the right decision choosing GBS!

Bachelor of Business (Honours) with International Business Level 8

As an international student, what I liked most about GBS was the fact that the classes are small so I wouldn’t feel embarrassed or shy entering a big hall with other hundreds of students. I had classmates from all over the World which was very helpful giving me a better understanding of Businesses from different countries and different cultures contributing as well to make classes more interesting as well. The lecturers were always very supportive and patient with students regarding their level of English, constantly pushing you to work hard, get high results and prepare you for “real-life work situations”. By the end of year 3, I received a Student of the Year Award achieving first class honours results, which showed me that if we work hard and believe in our potential everything is possible, doesn’t matter your background or nationality.

"Galway Business School was the perfect choice for me, the Staff and Lecturers were like an extension of one’s family, challenging, supportive and always willing you on, to do your best. The course was structured in a way to strike the perfect balance between work requirements and academic studies with the small class delivering a one to one relationship with the Lecturer’s unlike any other academic institutions that I have attended. Andreina Pérez

Bachelor of Business (Honours) with International Business Level 8

GCI and GBS were one of the best experiences that I have had in my life, where I met incredible people, whom I can call family. This journey wasn’t easy at all. I started this journey in Galway in 2013, when I decided to take a break from my concrete jungle, Caracas - Venezuela, and embark on an adventure for a ‘year’ to learn some English. It didn't take me more than a week to totally fall in love with this place, even though I wasn’t used to experiencing 4 different weather seasons in one hour, genuinely I am not joking, this is possible here! I must confess that it is hard to study a degree in a foreign language, but not impossible, and again as Walt Disney said – ‘If you can dream it, you can do it’, and that was exactly what I did for 4 years. True, it was challenging, but all the lectures and academic staff were always there, willing to help and encourage you to achieve your dreams.

BA in Business Management

Undertaking a Bachelor in Business and Management in Galway Business School has been one of the best decisions I made. It not only allowed me to expand on my French degree in International Trade but also offered me a strong basis of international business knowledge to undertake a Master's in International Management in NUI Galway. Small classes allow all students to interact with lecturers. It is a great way for any foreign student to develop an international business mindset and to gain crucial knowledge regarding business and management via tours, case studies and group work, as lecturers are extremely helpful, interesting and supportive. In my opinion, Galway Business School offers a tremendous opportunity to get prepared not only academically, but also professionally, on an international level.

This allowed students to have open discussions with lecturers, to ask questions and to properly engage with one-another. I felt that the hours offered were ideal and the price of the tuition fees were very reasonable and competitive. Our lecturers were kind, patient, insightful and created enjoyable, interactive classes."

I graduated with a Bachelor of Business (Level 7 Degree) from the Galway Business School in September 2017. What really enjoyed about the Business School was meeting all my Tutors and embracing this new phase in my life. My name is Vishnu Murukan and I am an Indian national. I Graduated from Galway Business School in 2018, the best college that I have ever studied in. The college is placed at an excellent location with an amazing beach view. The teachers were very friendly and you could always get help from the staff whenever needed, they also helped me in finding an accommodation and part time job. I had great classmates from different countries and enjoyed studying with them. I liked the fact that the classes were small and that individual attention was given to all, and there was good interaction between the instructors and students, they were always willing to help, and were very flexible in meeting to help students. I am very thankful to everyone at the Galway Business School. I would always recommend Galway Business School to anyone who is ever looking to come to Ireland.
