All learners at Galway Business School are made aware of the importance of attendance in class. Attendance is monitored on a daily basis to ensure that learners maximise their opportunities for participation and engagement in class. Galway Business School has a strict philosophy on active learning and engagement. For this reason we take attendance very seriously.
All students are required to attend a minimum 85% of their scheduled classes. This is a legal requirement for students who are from outside the EEA and require a visa to study in GBS. All students are required to notify the Galway Business School of any absence by email to firstname.lastname@example.org. If you are sick it is important to obtain a sick certificate from a doctor. Failure to produce a sick cert will mean that you will receive an absence mark on your attendance record. If you require a visit to the doctor, please contact the GBS academic team who can assist you in making an appointment.
