Computing technology is all around us in our everyday lives. If you are looking for a highly practical course in computer applications, then this is for you. This 18 weeks course will introduce you to key concepts of ICT theory, and the use of computer applications in business today.
You will acquire important competences in operating office applications and recognising common ICT hardware, software and network topologies. The course, offered through the free Springboard initiative, will highlight important issues associated with ICT such as legal, health and security issues.

At Galway Business School, the Computer Applications course lets you discover a wide range of topics on computer knowledge. This short semester course is ideal for students who are looking to develop their transferable skills for the workplace.
The module course is offered through the Springboard initiative. This course is free for eligible jobseekers, returners, carers and those who are formerly self-employed and offered at a significantly subsidised rate (90%) to eligible applicants in employment via the Higher Education Authority Springboard+ initiative.
